Karnataka crisis: 12 MLAs from JDS-Congress govt reach Speaker's office, likely to tender resignation
Speaker Ramesh Kumar clarifies that 11 MLAs have tendered resignation and the same will be reviewed on Tuesday.

A major critical point is going to hit the Karnataka Government with the resignation of 15 congresses and JDS MLAs. According to the sources, the 12 MLA’s of Congress and 3 MLAs of JDS reached the Karnataka assembly speaker’s office and waiting for him to submit their resignations. At the moment the speaker is not available, because he is at a hospital visit. If all these MLAs resign, then the strength of the government remains 215 approximately.

The list of MLAs includes Viswanath (JDS), Narayana Gowda (JDS), Ramesh Jarkiholi (Congress), Mahesh Kumthali (Congress), Gopalia (JDS), BC Patil (Congress), ST Somashekar (Congress), Byrathi Basavaraj (Congress), Shivaram Hebbar (Congress), Muniratna (Congress) and Pratap Gowda (Congress).

Including these, there are four more Congress MLAs who are ready to resign from their positions in the assembly speaker’s office. The ex-minister Ramalinga Reddy is also included in this list. According to him, he is taking this action for himself, and he doesn’t know the reasons for others resignation.

Ramalinga also said that it not because of any other party or their party. The majority of MLAs feels that they are neglected at some points where they need to take responsibility. This neglecting is the primary reason for this group decision.

Now, the point is how Mr. speaker will react to this decision and whether they accept the resignation or not. Congress party also called an emergency meeting today at 5 PM in Bengaluru.
